I Why CesSurface® for the Shoes Manufacturing Process
The roughing, acid-alkaline washing, and conventional chemical bonding of shoe surface before pasting in shoe manufacturing process has been strongly negative affected to the environment such as large amounts of dust, generating wastewater and air pollution, and on human life, not only in the manufacturing process but also in wearing shoes. The disadvantages of the current treatment system are low treatment efficiency, costliness, and extremely toxic because of using chemical methods. The purpose of CesSurface® is to replace the two-stage process of roughing and pre-treatment in shoe manufacturing. The optimal plasma treatment path of shoe surface, midsole, and outsole for different shoe types was recognized by a 3D visual scanning system and treated by a plasma reactor integrated with automation, a system, CNC, rolling, conveyor, or a Robot. Compared to the conventional process, the shoe forms stronger chemical covalent bonds with the adhesive, enhancing the bonding strength between different materials. Additionally, the average production line speed is upper to 2m/min. Furthermore, this automation process mitigates dust pollution issues associated with traditional roughing.
CesSurface® for footwear manufacturing front-end processes of various materials (RB, EVA, TPU, HPPE, PU, POM, …) and various curved shapes (flat plates, high side walls…) can not only improve bonding quality, save energy, and eliminate dust, wastewater, and air pollution but also replace harmful process like roughing, acid-base washing, and treatment agents.

I DaiSurface® Technology-Critical Shoes Manufacturing Plasma
The high-energy ion beams in plasma reactor are controled and bombarded directly to treatment surface by the added influence of magnetic forces, high frequency and high apply voltage. The ion bombarding exhibit higher concentration, intensity, stability, and controllability compared to plasma to make effectively functional surface; clean, nanoscale of buffing, enhance the hydrophilicity. A surface with strong hydrophilicity can form a robust covalent with primer for creating a strong bonding strength.

6 DoF mechanism. A CNC, robot or conveyor where plasma reactor is used to hold and move plasma reactor to treat indicated surface.
Nanoscale Micro Buffing. The micro-roughening effect on shoe surface taken by SEM shows the not only doubles the surface area but also has no impact on the appearance of the material itself.
Peeling Force Test Report. The DaiSurface® for material application versatility and bonding quality have been acknowledged and certified by shoe manufacturers and consumers. It is clear that the shoe sole samples treated have significantly higher maximum tensile strength than those not treated with DaiSurface®.
