Plasma Jet offers you a choice of four different plasma nozzles which work in open air. Plasma is generated in different treatment widths, depending on the nozzle. From 3 - 5 mm with our mini nozzle up to 120 mm with the rotating RT nozzle. There are therefore no limits to your plasma pre-treatment, as the plasma nozzles can also be positioned next to each other to ensure extensive cleaning and activation.

CJI.003 Introduction

The CLI.003 is a linear beam DBD plasma source, either direct or indirect, that is 100 mm wide. It is designed to clean, sterilize, and activate substrates to enhance bonding and adhesion. The speed of treatment depends on the holding system. The CLI.003 is ideal for selective processing in various industries, including footwear, printing, semiconductor packaging, and printed circuit boards. The standard plasma linear matching generator, CLI.003, provides an excellent introduction to partial plasma treatment. Additionally, different versions of the matching treatment system are available, which include combinations of plasma generators, the number of plasma lines, and automation systems.

Principle of CLI.003

The use of a stream of ionized gas (plasma) generated by dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) linear plasma bombards on surface to modify the properties of a material. This process typically involves cleaning, activating, or etching the surface to enhance adhesion for subsequent coatings, inks, or adhesives. Plasma linear surface treatment is often performed inline at atmospheric pressure and can be applied to a wide range of materials, including plastics, metals, and polymers.
